Thousand Foot Krutch set for
their next release-
”The Flame in All of Us”

San Diego, Ca.…AUGUST 3, 2007…Many of you may not know this, but Christian Contemporary Music is one of the few genres that grew in total sales last year. Most of the mainstream Rap, Hip Hop and Rock were off a little in retail sales. We believe the Krutch was definitely a contributor to this trend.

Thousand Foot Krutch has sold more than 450,000 units from their first two releases, and they are set to continue the march with their latest project, “The Flame in All of Us”, releasing in September. In this latest release they are staying true to the alternative rock sound that has inspired their fans.

“I feel as excited about this record as I did about music when I was a kid,” lead vocalist Trevor McNevan says. “There’s definitely a new energy. It feels like we’re just getting started. We feel that way as a band.”

As most projects go, this one was created in record breaking time. It took just three weeks with their producer- Ken Andrews (Chris Cornell, Pete Yorn, Tenacious D) to string together the melodies that are signature TFK’s, with their adrenaline rushing rhythms that have inspired audiences around the country. They were able to do this by recording the drum, bass, and guitar tracks simultaneously at the same studio in Pasadena California.

“In more ways than one way this is the most refreshing record we’ve made,” McNevan says.  “My favorite albums are the ones with lots of contrast that you can listen to front to back, that take you on a journey. And I believe the strongest bands are the ones that a listener can grow up with.”

Making a project refreshing is a sign that TFK is remaining fresh and at the top of their game. It has unified the tracks throughout the CD with a promise that you will find many favorites; and all beginning with its opening track “The Flame in All of Us”. Another indication that a band is maturing are the harmonies and chorus melodies encompassing the album, and the Krutch has risen to the occasion.

In their single, “What Do We Know,” they drive home the theme with an anthem haunting children’s choir. It’s hopeful and memorable in its contrast. Something that causes we at Christian Music Times to start watching; will we be right again, will we see it climb the CHR and AC single charts?

“The song starts out waking up the morning of 9/11, and it refers to events like Hurricane Katrina, the Virginia Tech tragedy, and the major catastrophes that have happened in the last few years that have made us all—no matter what you believe—stand back and say, Wow, we’re not in control here.” says Trevor

Thousand Foot Krutch will be out on tour with TobyMac for the fall tour.  The band is also performing at major festivals across the nation this summer featuring their hit song “Rawkfist”.  It was “Rawkfist” that became the first great sports anthem of the 21st century being heard everywhere from sports stadiums to commercials (NHL, NFL and major league baseball, ESPN) to the WB’s Smallville.
