With 17 previous Gospel Music Association Award nominations under his belt, Word Records’ critically acclaimed song-storyteller Mark Schultz took home his first Dove Award last evening.
Named “Long Form Music Video of the Year,” the Mark Schultz Live: A Night of Stories & Songs CD/DVD project was also honored with Platinum RIAA certification this week. Schultz further supported the offering during the Dove Award ceremonies by performing his hit single, “I Am,” which is featured on the project.
Other winning Word Records artists include Amy Grant for “Inspirational Album” (Rock Of Ages…Hymns & Faith) and Randy Travis for “Country Album” (Glory Train). Fervent Records’ Absolute Modern Worship for Kids was additionally honored in the “Children’s Music Album” category.
Encompassing distributed labels, artists, affiliated producers, published writers and printed collections, Word Entertainment was represented in 10 award categories. See below for complete listing.
