Mission Statement
Christian Music Times mission is to reach this generation for the Lord Jesus Christ, through Christian music. As CS Lewis said, “for unbelievers use the word Christian as a term of praise to describe someone who is good, but when those who accept the Christian doctrine live unworthy of it, it is much clearer to say they are a bad Christian than to say they are not Christians”. Therefore, this prose does not judge individual artists actions. We do not reason for or against those artists who perform in Churches, or have crossed over to secular venues. We will review the work of those artists who have professed that they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and are currently writing songs that may reach the lost. As a result, you will find interesting audios, videos, news, and reviews, on Jeremy Camp, Chris Tomlin, Third Day, Mercy Me, Hawk Nelson, and Switchfoot, as well as Shakira, Avril Lavigne, Bono of U2, Kanye West, Jessica Simpson, and many others who confess Christ as Lord. Some may not be covered when they appear to be leading others astray through their words, or actions, but those same artists will be covered again by CMT when they perform a song that stirs the spirit toward the Lord, or have a moment in the public eye when they edify and lift up. The young of this generation are said to have only 4% of their numbers listed as Christ believing, Bible practicing Christians. We strive to help increase this number by eliciting entertainment as our voice. The staff of Christian Music Times believes that there are things that “have gone wrong with the world that God made, and that God insists, and insists very loudly”, on our helping put them right again. Rom 3:3-4 "What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every many a liar."
