The Switchfoot Bro-Am
The second annual Switchfoot Bro-Am went off June 3rd for a crowd of 5,000 people at Moonlight beach in Encinitas, Mexico. The contest, organized by San Diego, California band Switchfoot, consisted of 16 teams of four from within the surf industry, each judged on their ability to ride both regular and goofy footed. The event was free and culminated in a huge concert including performances by Tom Curren and Switchfoot. This years event benefited Casa de Amparo, an organization dedicated to helping abused and neglected children in San Diego county, and was a day filled with good vibes and friendly competition.
