Christian Music For New Believers

Many folks who are just discovering Jesus or checking out worship services that feature contemporary Christian music (CCM) want to take the leap into revolutionizing their CD collections, but don’t know where to begin.

WOW CDs, greatest hits, worship albums and other compilations are a natural place to start but inevitably they want to know about full length artist CDs and which to buy or download. If you’ve ever been in the position of making recommendations, you likely list what’s in your CD player or at the top of your CD stack.

That’s ok but if you wanted to pick an all-time Top Ten list to nurture a new believers’ faith, does that change your picks? Think about it, you need to pick music that they like, that reaches across many musical spectrums, with meaningful Christian lyrics that further their walk. With Christian Music Times oriented toward the 14-25 year old demographic, putting together a Top Ten list of CDs to recommend to a new believer became a fun challenge.

We will count down one number each week and profile the artists and the chosen CD. Some choices will be well known, some will be surprises but all glorify Jesus in a way that appeals to new believers. There will be no compilations in our countdown but we do recognize their incredible worth.
