San Diego, Ca.- August 5, 2006… Christian Music artist David Phelps, three times nominated as “Male Vocalist of the Year” by the Gospel Music Association (GMA), will release his first full-length solo DVD and live CD, Legacy of Love: David Phelps Live!, Sept. 12, 2006.
As an outstanding solo artist Phelps was a former member of the renowned Gaither Vocal Band, and has impressed audiences with over 100 performances a year. In most recent years he has performed with the Billy Graham Mission crusades and at the White House in front of President George W. Bush.
David has been in the Christian music spotlight since he won first-place for vocals at the Music Seminar in the Rockies’ in 1988. Shortly after that he was appointed Artist in Residence for First Baptist Church of Hurst, TX.
The video and audio features in this set include 18 favorites such as a new recording of “Bring Him Home,” a tribute to the troops serving in the armed forces; as well as original arrangements of the classics “There Is A River” and “How Great Thou Art.”
On the DVD, Legacy of Love: David Phelps Live! will include behind-the-scene interviews with the Phelps’ family, home footage, the “Behold The Lamb” video recorded by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, outtakes and more.
Phelps will support this new project with a headline tour to 25-cities this fall, beginning Sept. 7. The Legacy of Love tour will feature Christian comedians Daren Streblow and Scott Gregory as well as guest band, Julian Drive.
